If you want to start something, do it now.
Whether you are using your side hustle to make some extra money to put in the bank, make ends meet, or put more money towards debt, a side hustle can be helpful to make money or fulfill a passion you can not fulfill with your full-time job.

There is no time like the present. There is never the right time to do something. If you want to start something, do it now.

Whether you are using your side hustle to make some extra money to put in the bank, make ends meet, or put more money towards debt, a side hustle can be helpful to make money or fulfill a passion you can not fulfill with your full-time job.

  1. Do not invest everything right away. I know what I said at the beginning - “there is no time like the present,” but that does not mean put all your eggs in one basket.
  2. You need to figure out how you are going to make money. A side hustle can be helpful to build a resume or portfolio, but at some point, your work deserves more than that. At the beginning of your adventure into your side hustle, figure out how you can make money and what your rates should be. Your rates should also increase as you get more experience.
  3. Have a specific reason you are doing it. Like I mentioned earlier, there are many reasons someone has a side hustle, but you need to figure out what your specific reason is. Without a specific reason, it is going to be difficult to stay motivated.
  4. Set aside non-negotiable time every week to work on your side hustle. You by no means need to be working on the project constantly or losing a lot of sleep over it, but you definitely need to be committing time each week to the project.
  5. Know your worth. You deserve to get paid for your work, and you should charge the people you are providing your goods or services for appropriately. Do your research and compare people to your skill level and experience, and see how much they are charging. You should charge roughly the same amount.

All in all, it’s important to remember that progress comes with hard work and time. We believe in you!
