WHY AM I A MENTOR?

I very much enjoy the mentoring process, especially when a concept really clicks with the individual or they experience clarity on an issue that has been troubling them. I would like to become a mentor for GrasshoppHers to help women bring regular, enjoyable exercise into their life, follow dietary habits that leave them feeling good and to help them to feel strong and accomplished through strength training.

I would like to become a mentor for GrasshoppHers to help women bring regular, enjoyable exercise into their life, follow dietary habits that leave them feeling good and to help them to feel strong and accomplished through strength training.

HOW CAN I SUPPORT YOU?

I can help my mentee to better define their health and fitness goals, develop an exercise routine that suits their goals and lifestyle, teach them how to perform certain exercises (barbell and dumbbell-based, mostly) that they're unfamiliar with, create an exercise program for them to follow (we can spend 1x60 minute session writing a 4-6 week program), alter their body composition (often times this doesn't involve hard-dieting) and create an overall health-focused program that incorporates strength training and sustainable nutritional habits that is in line with their goals and will leave them feeling good.

EXPERIENCE

5 YEARS

As a teenager, I had an extremely unhealthy relationship with food and with my body. I would look at myself in the mirror, pinching and pulling at the parts of myself that I didn't like and subsequently restrict my food choices and portion sizes. Fast-forward 10 years, I am now a personal trainer, health coach and powerlifter. I have competed at the Australian National Championships in Powerlifting and find a lot of joy and fulfillment within the sport. One of my greatest memories in the sport is when I deadlifted 170kg (374lb) for the first time. I like the term 'health coach' because my coaching centers around helping individuals to feel good and able within their own skin, not running them into the ground with copious amounts of exercise and limited food. I want to help you to feel STRONG and CONFIDENT, however, that may look to you.
