WHY AM I A MENTOR?
I would like to use my experiences and knowledge to make an impact on someone's life. Having someone to guide you through times and someone who you can rely on is very important and it would be a pleasure for me to be that for someone.
HOW CAN I SUPPORT YOU?
I can help my mentee by being there for them, listening to them and guiding them through their journey in life. I can specifically help high school students prepare for college and college admissions, and also how to be successful in high school itself.
EXPERIENCE
I am a freshman at the University of Texas at Austin, but my journey to get here was anything but easy. I constantly moved homes throughout my life, however the toughest move was probably moving to the US from India during my freshman year of high school. This exposed me to a lot of challenges figuring out the school system and adapting to the new culture. I also went to an academically competitive school so I learned how to deal with those pressures. Additionally, I was a varsity athlete (tennis) all four years, so I also learned how to balance that with my schoolwork.
